Levels of Support

At Thriving, we know that every individual has unique needs, which is why we provide workers across five different levels. From intermediate support through to highly skilled clinical care, our team is equipped to match the right level of experience and expertise to each person’s care plan. This approach ensures that every client receives support that is safe, consistent and tailored to them.

1. Intermediate Level

SOME EXPERIENCE

Zara

1-3 years of experience in care roles, possibly with some additional training or qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

4. Expert Level

HIGHLY SKILLED

James

6+ years of experience in complex care. provide informal supervision or peer mentoring. Holds NVQ Level 4 or higher and multiple specialist clinical skills.

 

Demonstrates competence and confidence in supporting people with:
Acquired brain injury, challenging behaviour, High-dependency support needs (e.g. tracheostomy, seizure management, gastrostomy).

2. Skilled Level

MODERATE EXPERIENCE

Precious

3-5 years of hands-on care experience, along with further education and certification, such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Diploma in Health and Social Care, and relevant specialist training in Trachea, PEG, etc.

Can work independently in most care settings, with confidence, supporting complex packages.

5. Clinial Care Level

REGISTERED NURSE

⁠Registered Nurse (e.g. RGN/RMN) with a current NMC PIN. Trained and experienced in delivering complex clinical interventions, including:

 

  • Tracheostomy and ventilator care
    IV therapies or central line management

  • IV therapies or central line management

  • Advanced wound care

  • Clinical oversight and assessments

3. Advanced Level

COORDINATOR

Carol

Extensive experience in care (often 5+ years) and advanced qualifications, such as NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or relevant specialised certifications.

 

Often responsible for mentoring others, contributing to rotas, assessments, or shift leadership. Assists with documentation, liaison with families, and compliance.
