Kieron Smithson (Assoc CIPD) is Operations Director at Thriving, with nearly a decade of senior operational leadership within the wider Priority group. He is responsible for the payroll, compliance, and day-to-day operational oversight of a workforce of 250+ support workers paid weekly, ensuring stability, accuracy, and consistency across complex care services.

Kieron oversees head office operations, safeguarding frameworks, and operational support for clients, families, and commissioning professionals. His role includes escalation management, rota continuity, workforce compliance, and governance—ensuring care is delivered safely, reliably, and in line with regulatory expectations.

As a CIPD Level 5 qualified HR professional and the business’s Data Protection Officer, Kieron combines people-led practice with strong operational control. He works closely with internal teams to maintain high standards in recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing worker engagement.
